All About Me
Hi, I’m Shonna, founder of KK Aesthetics & Beauty Academy.
My journey into aesthetics began during a time where I was struggling to balance work while supporting my children. I wanted a career that offered flexibility, stability, and the ability to earn a good income, whilst still being present for my family.
What started as a practical decision quickly became a true passion. I fell in love with the industry, particularly advanced treatments and needle work, and the confidence it brings to clients. I genuinely love what I do and take pride in helping people feel more confident in themselves.
Over the past 6 years, I have continued to grow and evolve within the industry. I began with teeth whitening, before progressing into facials, and then advancing into anti-wrinkle treatments and dermal fillers. I later expanded my skills into Russian lips, Lemon Bottle, and advanced toxin and filler techniques.
I have not only trained in new treatments, but have also undertaken multiple advanced courses within my needle work, often revisiting training to continually refine my skills and ensure I am working to the highest possible standard. I am committed to ongoing development so I can be the best practitioner and trainer I can be.
Through my own experiences, I realised that not all training provides the level of support and confidence needed to succeed. This inspired me to create something better.
KK Aesthetics & Beauty Academy was built on a commitment to delivering high-quality training, with real guidance, hands-on experience, and ongoing support. I am passionate about helping others build flexible, successful careers for themselves, just as I have done, and supporting them every step of the way.
Support doesn’t end after your training day. I provide ongoing guidance, mentorship, and additional clinic days where needed, ensuring every student feels fully confident in their skills.
